Out of Network Insurance Option

Structuring my practice as out-of-network with insurance companies allows me the time and preparation to offer my best clinical work and presence to my clients.

Many of my clients successfully utilize out-of-network benefits to receive partial coverage for their sessions.

I can provide you with a superbill for reimbursement to submit to your insurance company.

If you're interested in this option, please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

Some helpful questions that I recommend asking your insurance provider about out-of-network coverage are:

  • Does my health insurance plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, what is it, and have I met it yet?

  • Does my plan limit the number of sessions I can have per calendar year? If so, what is the limit?

  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

I can always offer a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for partial retroactive reimbursement of services.

Payment

I accept all major credit cards as forms of payment. A card is stored on file and run at the time of the session.

Limited Sliding Scale Appointments Available

I hold availability in my practice for one $60.00 per session need-based sliding scale slot.

This slot is listed through Open Path Collective, a national non-profit that provides lifetime access to a listing of therapists offering sliding-scale openings to qualifying need-based clients for a one-time fee.

If interested, please visit the Open Path Collective website for more information and to check for current availability in my practice.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.

Good Faith Estimate

A “Good Faith Estimate” explains how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
